Charcoal Pits and the Iron Industry in the NW Corner.

WLT and co-hosts The Warren Historical Society learned about one of our region’s most important industries as we walked through the woods to the site of two charcoal pits. Total walk was 2.5 miles (or 2 miles to first site and back) over moderately challenging terrain.
