Peter Picone lives in Southington, CT and has worked as a wildlife biologist for the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for more than 30 years. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Renewable Natural Resources, with wildlife biology emphasis. His areas of expertise include habitat enhancement, native plants and invasive species management. He manages habitats on western district state lands in CT and also provides technical assistance to private landowners. He and his family has been ecologically restoring the 40 acre Charter Oak Tree Farm in Sprague, CT. As a life-long resident of Connecticut Mr. Picone has enjoyed habitat management, fishing, hunting, birdwatching, and hiking in Connecticut all of his life.
