This Thursday is the Hunter's Moon! The next full moon after the autumn Harvest Moon, the Old Farmer’s Almanac reports that the name comes from the Algonquin tribe - a reminder that traditionally in many cultures this is the time to hunt and store up meat for the long winter.
Join us as we celebrate the changing of the seasons this Thursday 10/17 with a walk under the Hunter’s Moon on the Willis Tanner Farm Preserve. Meet at the Willis Tanner Preserve field on Above All Road at 6:30. The field is approximately a mile up Above All Road on the right-hand side. Park along the road in front of the preserve.
Bring a flashlight; well-behaved dogs on leashes always welcome. Come dressed for the weather, and sturdy footwear recommended - it’s a post-harvest farm field! Refreshments will be provided.
Please let us know you’ll be there! Register at info@warrenlandtrust.org.
