Historians are like detectives, uncovering clues and putting puzzle pieces together to reconstruct life in the past…but sometimes they encounter a “cold case.” Visit a secluded private property with fascinating historical and natural features, and follow a discontinued roadbed to explore a pristine Early American homesite. We’ll share what years of research has revealed about the original homesteader and what this little piece of Warren tells us about the changing face of the Northeast corner. This walk is offered by Ellen Paul & BK Stafford, from the Warren Historical Society and the Warren Land Trust, along with former CT State Archaeologist Nick Bellantoni, who will share his expertise. 2 hours–3 miles To register–warrenhistorian@outlook.com or 860-503-8545
